Supported Canon Powershot Cameras
Not all Canon Powershots support remote capture, and unfortunately Canon decided to stop including this feature in their Powershot line since they're trying to get people to upgrade to one of their DSLRs. This is hugely unfortunate as in my opinion Canon Powershots are the best cameras for a photobooth since they autofocus so well, have great color sensitivity, have a nice live preview, and are extremely reliable. It may be worth having a look on ebay, where many of these are still available brand new for under $200, especially the excellent Canon Powershot S5is.
My favorite Powershots are the Powershot S5, G10 and G9, since they all have a flash hotshoe and can be plugged into wall power. Whatever you decide to use, you should seriously consider buying a plug-in power supply (available on ebay for around $30), and never use a USB hub with a camera.

No Canon Powershots are supported under Vista 64 bit, as Canon still doesn't support Vista 64 bit.
